Helen A. Hamelin, 90

ADAMS, Mass. —

Mrs. Helen Anita (Baribeau) Hamelin, 90, of Adams, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 4, 2020.

She was born in Adams on August 16, 1930, a daughter of the late Leo and Rose (St. Germain) Baribeau. She attended schools in Adams.

Mrs. Hamelin was primarily a homemaker but had worked in the Naval Ordnance Division of General Electric Company in Pittsfield.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Harvey F. Hamelin whom she married on May 29, 1950; two daughters, Carol Lawson and her husband Keith and Ruth Lennon, all of Adams; one son, Craig Hamelin of Cheshire; seven grandchildren, Dwane, Daryl and Robert Rougeau, Holly Kresiak, Brian Lawson and Scott and Evan Hamelin; five great grandchildren, Layla, Colby, Eric and Devin Rougeau and Lador Lawson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister. Grace Cardimino and by two brothers, Leo Baribeau and Sergeant Major Robert Baribeau.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, October 8th from 9:15 A.M. to 10:15 A.M. at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. A graveside service will also be on Thursday at 12:00 Noon in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Due to current restrictions, all attending the calling hours or graveside service must wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
