Thomas Langnickel, 64

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Thomas James Langnickel, 64 of Davie, Fla., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020.

Known to many as T-Bone, Tom was born on July 23, 1956 to Marjorie (Wing) and William C. Langnickel. He graduated from Charles McCann Technical Vocational School with the class of 1974. As part of his vocational experience (welding), he worked for Lipton Steel. He also worked for Beloit Jones, Pfizer, Berkshire Pest Control and Valley Park Lanes.

On Saturday mornings, you could find Tom and his daughter, Jennifer, behind the counter running the kids' league and building rapport with the children. Tom also enjoyed golfing, deep sea and lake fishing, hunting, watching the Red Sox and Rams games, softball and trips to the casinos.

At the time of his death, Tom was working the night shift at Home Depot in Florida where he had worked the past five years.

Tom and Cheryl moved to Florida in 2014 where he made many friends, both at work and throughout the neighborhood. You could often find him walking his fuzzy pet, Sassy, while smoking a cigar. He was always smiling and wearing his shorts!

Tom is survived by his wife, Cheryl, two sons, T.J and Ryan (Genoa) and daughter, Jennifer Langnickel (significant other, Rob Therrien) and grandchildren, Eowyn and Oriana Langnickel. In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, he is survived by one brother, Neil Langnickel (Tracy), nieces, Erica and Jaimie Langnickel, cousin, Karen Koehler, goddaughter, Jennie Modena, and Cheryl's kids and grandkids, who he loved like his own.  In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his sister, Tracy Langnickel Singer in 1979.

Funeral Notice: A celebration of Tom's life will take place at a later date here in the Berkshires.
