Josephine Burdon, 92

ADAMS, Mass. —  Josephine Burdon, 92, of Adams, died Monday morning, November 9, 2020, at her home. She was born in Poland on May 31, 1928, the daughter of Mary Burdon. She attended schools in Poland, and came here 63 years ago. Josephine last worked as a machine operator at the former Arnold Print Works in Adams until the mill closed. Earlier, she had worked at the former W.B. Plunkett Memorial Hospital in Adams. She is survived by a daughter, Henrietta “Jean” Richardson, of Adams; a son, John Burdon and his wife, Wendy, of Cheshire; a granddaughter, Melissa Liebenow and her husband, Thomas, of Cheshire; two great grandchildren, Lennon and Thomas Liebenow; a brother, John Burdon and his wife, Mary, of Canada; and two sisters, Bogda Reinke of Germany; and Helena Krystel of Poland. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14th at 11:00 AM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Due to current regulations, use of face masks and social distancing will be strictly enforced. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires, 877 South St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
