Florence L. Miner

Florence L. Miner, 86, of 550 South Main St. died yesterday at the Great Barrington Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center. Born in Tyringham on July 14, 1915, daughter of Benjamin and Georgia White Loring, she was a 1933 graduate of Lee High School. She moved to Otis after high school. During the 1950s and '60s, she worked at the Otis Consolidated School and at the Otis Ridge ski camp. Her husband, Frederick W. Miner, whom she married Oct. 14, 1934, died Nov. 5, 1999. She leaves a son, Frederick R. Miner of Sunny Hill, Fla.; three daughters, Ann L. Boyko of Sunny Hill, Irene M. Rowley of Otis and Mildred M. Tullar of Elkhart, Ind.; a sister, Rebecca Souza of South Dartmouth; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with the Rev. Lin McGee, pastor of Otis Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Otis Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to Otis Congregational Church in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
