Emma Balardini, 80
ADAMS, Mass. — Emma Rosetta Balardini, 80, of 19 Apremont St. died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at home.
Born in Adams on May 13, 1921, daughter of John and Madeline Nicolini Morelli, she attended local schools, including Zylonite, Renfrew and C.T. Plunkett Junior High schools. She graduated from the former Adams High School in 1940.
Mrs. Balardini was employed by General Electric Co. in Pittsfield, the former Paramount Theater in North Adams, and by the former Waverly Fabrics, where she was in the assembly and shipping department. She retired in 1964.
She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas.
She leaves her husband, retired Police Capt. Gino Balardini, whom she married Oct. 5, 1948; a son, David M. Balardini of Pittsfield; a sister, Ida Boschetti of Williamstown, and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Balardini will be Saturday, Feb. 2, at 10:15 from MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, with the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle as celebrant. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
Calling hours at McBride Funeral Home, 6 Liberty St., Adams, will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The family suggests memorial donations in her memory to the VNA of Northern Berkshire at 535 Curran Memorial Highway, North Adams, MA 01247, or through the funeral home, and or St. Thomas Aquinas Church at P.O.
