Gary A. Harding, 56

POWNAL, Vt. —  Gary Allen Harding, 56, of Pownal, VT died Saturday August 20, 2022 at Albany Medical Center.

He was born in Pittsfield, MA on February 8, 1966, a son of Nancy Rae (Harding) Grady and was raised by his mother and stepfather, James Edward Grady. He attended Williamstown schools and graduated from Mt. Greylock Regional High School with the class of 1984.

He was employed by Nastech in Bennington, VT for many years. Gary enjoyed hunting and camping.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather- James and Nancy Grady of Williamstown, MA; two daughters- Jessica Cone of Bennington, VT and Jenna Harding of North Adams, MA; and two sons- Joshua Harding of Bennington, VT and Christopher Harding of Pownal, VT. He also leaves several grandchildren; two sisters- Kate Grady of North Adams, MA and Trina O'Neil of Clarksburg, MA; one brother- Chad Basinger of the state of Florida; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother- Jonnie Basinger and his grandparents- Gaetano and Hazel Mangano and Levi and Eva Harding.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Gary Harding will be Friday August 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn cemetery.
