Clarence White Jr.

Clarence Wellman White Jr., 65, of Gainesville, Fla., formerly of Lee, died Jan. 25 at home. Born in Westfield on Oct. 8, 1936, son of Clarence Wellman White Sr. and Alice Elizabeth Bartlett White, he graduated from Springfield Technical High School in 1955. He served in both the Army and the Air Force. Mr. White was employed by Kimberly-Clark Corp. for 29 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Greenock Country Club and local genealogy societies. He also served as a volunteer at the Silvio O. Conte National Archives building in Pittsfield. He leaves two daughters, Kimberley Henson of Gainesville and Kathleen Shaffer of Palm Coast, Fla.; five grandchildren, and his former wife, Janet White of Gainesville.
