Suzanne M. Rae

Suzanne M. Rae, 67, of Stockbridge Road died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Bangor, Maine, on Jan. 27, 1935, daughter of Wilfred and Emma Burke Burr, she moved to Winthrop as a child and was a 1952 graduate of Winthrop High School. She moved to Wyckoff, N.J., in 1960 and to Sheffield in 1995. Mrs. Rae and her husband owned and operated Wyckoff Paint and Wallpapering in Wyckoff from 1960 until 1990. Upon moving to Sheffield, Mrs. Rae and her husband owned and operated the Berkshire 1802 House B & B until 1998, when she moved to Lee. She was a member of the Church on the Hill in Lenox. She leaves her husband, Charles W. Rae Sr., whom she married Dec. 27, 1953; two sons, Charles W. Rae of Chestnut Ridge, N.Y., and Steven B. Rae of Somerville, and three grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2 at the Church on the Hill in Lenox with the Rev. Susanna Crolius, interim pastor, officiating. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee. Burial will be Monday afternoon at 2 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield. Friends wishing may make donations to the Church on the Hill or to Habitat for Humanity in care of the Kelly Funeral Home.
