Margaret Rich

Margaret Rich, 90, of Connecticut Avenue died Thursday at home. Born in White Creek, N.Y., on April 19, 1911, daughter of Charles L. and Sylvia Green Warren, she graduated from Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Rich was employed by GE in the laboratory of the power transformer division for 40 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the GE Pensioners' and Quarter Century clubs, and the Lanesboro Senior Citizens. Her husband, Eugene H. Rich, whom she married in 1972, died in 1977. She leaves two stepsons, Donald E. Rich of Wilmington and Larry A. Rich of Wilmington, Del.; a stepdaughter, Marlene Damiano of Derry, N.H.; two sisters, Floretta S. McPherson of Lanesboro and Kathryn B. Warren of Point Richmond, Calif.; eight grandchildren, and her companion of 14 years, Frank Garrity of Pittsfield. The funeral will be held at a time and place to be announced in the spring. Burial at that time will be in Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge, N.Y. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to First United Methodist Church in care of WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
