Mary V. Kleiner

Mary V. Kleiner, 88, of 18 Richmond St. died early yesterday morning at Williamstown Commons. Born in Adams on May 17, 1913, daughter of Frank and Katherine Ciolkosz Czarnik, she attended local schools. Mrs. Kleiner was most recently employed with the former Barber Leather Co. in North Adams for several years, retiring in 1975. Prior to that, she had been employed with the former Jarisch Paper Box Co. in North Adams and the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church. Her husband, Gerhardt C. "Gary" Kleiner, whom she married Sept. 8, 1934, died Jan. 27, 2001. She leaves a son, Richard G. Kleiner of Adams; a brother, Matthew Czarnik of Adams; two sisters, Wanda Armstrong and Daisy Dyka, both of Adams, and four grandsons. A daughter, Marcia Kleiner, died Jan. 28, 1944. She was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Zarvis, who died May 19, 2001. The funeral will be Monday at 9:15 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church by the Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 4 to 7. Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Ambulance Service or to a charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
