Grace L. Fowler

Grace L. Fowler, 85, of Derry Road, Chester, N.H., formerly of Lanesboro, died Tuesday at her home. Born Sept. 17, 1916, in Albany, N.Y., daughter of Harry B. and Ethel Lee, she was a resident of Lanesboro for many years before moving to Hudson, N.H., and then in 1995 to Chester, N.H. Mrs. Fowler had worked as a welfare agent for the town of Lanesboro for many years. Following that, she worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Fowler Oil Co. in Pittsfield. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert A. Fowler; a daughter, Lee F. Rhodes of Enfield, Conn.; a brother, Donald A. Lee of Dalton; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A daughter, Linda F. Dubois, died in 1995. A calling hour will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the PEABODY FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATORIUM, 15 Birch St., Derry, N.H. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Lanesboro, in the spring.
