Mary Ann Vidal, 80

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Mary Ann (Hillard) Vidal, 80, of North Adams, MA died Thursday February 01, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in North Adams, MA on May 07, 1943, a daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Aubin) Hillard. She attended local schools and graduated from St Joseph’s High School.

Mary was a mill worker for much of her adult life, while maintaining a home and remaining a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved coloring and laughing with friends and family, and tying flies with her late husband. She had an unconditional love for her family and enjoyed spending time with them as often as possible.

Widowed by her husband Harvey Vidal Jr in 2000, she is survived by her daughter Catherine Felix (Michael Pontier) of North Adams, with whom she made her home with for the last 8 years, and a son Raymond Felix III of North Adams. Mary leaves behind seven grandchildren, Kristina Giron, Sara Pontier, Jacob Pontier, Carly Pontier, Courtney Pontier, Octavia Pontier, and Brittany Pilling, along with five great grandchildren Sylena, Emanuel, Austin, Leo, and Griffin. She had many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Julie Burdick (Shade), and ten brothers and sisters.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Mary Vidal will be on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Calling hours will be on Monday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes – WEST CHAPEL 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA 01247.
