Agnes B. Grosz

Agnes B. Grosz, 77, of 10 North St. died Tuesday at the Commons of North Adams, where she was admitted Nov. 20. Born in Adams on May 18, 1924, daughter of Conrad P. and Elizabeth M. Frank Grosz, she attended Adams schools, including the former Liberty Street Grammar School, and the C.T. Plunkett Junior High School. She graduated from the former Adams High School in 1943. Ms. Grosz was employed as a data entry clerk in the ordnance department of General Electric Co., retiring on May 17, 1984. She was a communicant of Notre Dame St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. She was active in the Adams Senior Citizens and the Adams Study Club, where she was past vice president and president. She leaves two sisters, Theresa A. Winslow of Little Rock, Calif., and Helen Bergeron of Adams. She was predeceased by four sisters, Margaret Stark, Pauline Gauthier, Elizabeth Grosz and Marie Anna Grosz. A memorial Mass in the Roman Catholic tradition will be celebrated in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at a time to be announced, following cremation. Her cremains will be inurned in the family lot in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams, at a time to be announced. The family suggests memorials in her honor to the St. Thomas Aquinas Church St. Vincent de Paul Society in care of P.O. Box 231, Adams, MA 01220. The MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
