Judith Wyman, 82

 

Judith Louise (Armstrong) Benoit-Wyman 82, of North Adams, MA. died Wednesday May 29, 2024 at her home. She was born in North Adams on September 17, 1941 a daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Saunders). Judith attended schools in North Adams and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School.

She was employed at Meehan Co. and Cornish Wire for several years. She was last employed at a hall supervisor at Brayton Elementary School in North Adams, MA.

Judith was a member of the First Baptist Church in North Adams, she loved spending time with family and friends and doing puzzles. She was predeceased by her first husband Orville Benoit Sr. and her second husband Bruce Wyman.

Survivors include her children Jamie Benoit Gamari-Fields of Adams, Lisa Benoit Butler of North Adams, Orville “Obie” Benoit of North Adams, Leslie Benoit Durocher of Adams and Julie Benoit Hebert of Pownal. She also leaves 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister Marilyn Charron of Williamstown and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Ralph Armstrong Jr. and granddaughter Hope Benoit.

At her request there will no funeral services. Burial will take place in the family plot in Southview Cemetery at a later date. To add to the Book of Memories, please visit flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com.

So sorry to hear of the passing of "Miss Judy". Greatest hall monitor EVER! I remember her smiling face greeting all the students, faculty, & guests of Brayton. Students got all excited to have their class awarded the "Miss Judy Award" for excellent hall expectations (& band playing "Hey Jude" when she took the podium. Cherish the beautiful memories & know she touched many hearts.
