David A. Tatro, 78

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mr. David A. Tatro, 78, of North Adams, died on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the North Adams Regional Hospital.

He was born in North Adams on June 29, 1947, son of the late Norman and Helen (Franz) Tatro. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from the former St. Joseph’s High School with the class of 1965.

Mr. Tatro last worked as a cook for Williams College until his retirement.

He was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams. He was an avid golfer and was a member of Waubeeka Country Club in Williamstown and the former North Adams Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, the former Linda M. Barschdorf, whom he married on March 25, 2001; his son David A. Tatro, Jr. and his wife Sharlene of Northfield, OH; two stepsons, Marc Krutiak and his wife Deborah of San Diego, CA and Jason Krutiak and his wife Sandra of Orlando, FL as well as several grandchildren and two nieces.

He was predeceased by his brother Stephen Tatro.

Per David’s request there are no funeral service.

Linda. So sorry for your loss. As you know he had a great run with me at Williams. We enjoyed many great times and laughs on a daily basis. I will miss our political banter and his hearty laugh.
