Carol F. Bratcher, 93

CHESHIRE, Mass. —
Mrs. Carol F. (Davis) Bratcher, 93, of Cheshire, died Tuesday morning, March 31, 2026 at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in Oneonta, NY on October 5, 1932, a daughter of the late Carson A. and Mabel I. (Robinson) Davis. She came to this area as a young girl and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams with the Class of 1950.
Carol worked for many years as a waitress at several local restaurants and banquet facilities. She last worked for several years as a substitute paraprofessional in the Adams-Cheshire Regional School District until finally retiring.
She had attended Cheshire United Methodist Church and had been a member of the former Heptones choral group. She enjoyed singing, dancing, birdwatching, walking, trips to the beach and loved her dogs.
Her husband, Donald H. Bratcher, whom she married on August 5, 1950, died on December 26, 1985.
She is survived by her children, Linda Wlodyka of Cheshire, Scott Bratcher (Sherry) of Harwich, MA and Laurie Fryc (Alan) of Chandler, AZ, two grandchildren, Jesse Wlodyka (Amber) and Todd Oakes (Christine), two great grandchildren, Hannah Wlodyka and Brody Oakes, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings- Percy, Claude, Julius, Carson, Jr., Julius, Kenneth, Gloria, Kathryn, June and Madeline, and by her longtime companion, George Cooper.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at 11:00 AM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, March 7th, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, directly before the funeral, in the funeral home.
