Sarah Luczynski, 93

Sarah M. (O’Brien) Luczynski, 93 of Williamstown died on April 26, 2026. She was born on February 13, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late James and Mary O’Brien.

Sarah attended Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She was primarily a homemaker and her family admired her for being able to do “anything.” Sarah was an active communicant of St. Patrick’s and Raphael Parish in Williamstown as well as an active volunteer in the community. Sarah was passionate about outdoor activities especially golf, gardening, and walking her dogs.

Sarah was predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Luczynski Jr. MD whom she married on July 10, 1954. He died on September 11, 2014. She leaves her children, Missy Holmes (Hubert) Jan Day, Ned Luczynski (Joy), David Luczynski (Lisa) and Ken Luczynski, as well as 11 grandchildren and 15 great – grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, James O’Brien.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside services for Sarah Luczynski will be at Southlawn Cemetery on May 30, 2026 at 10:30am. Sarah was a long time member of the Williams College Faculty Club; I always enjoyed her company at Club events and stories of her love of South Williamstown and golf. She will be missed.
