Shirley P. Dill, 101

ADAMS, Mass. —
Mrs. Shirley (Patterson) Dill, 101, of Adams, died Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at North Adams Regional Hospital.
She was born in Dalton on January 21, 1925, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Gladys (Hunt) Patterson. She attended Dalton schools and graduated from the former Dalton High School. Shirley spent most of her life as a homemaker, caring for her family.
She was a member of the former St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Adams, and was a member and past Vice President of the Adams Senior Citizens. She remained very active until the time of her brief illness and looked forward to her weekly hair appointments.
She was predeceased by her first husband, William H. Taylor, and her second husband, Frederick Dill.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Tanguay and her husband Tom of Cheshire, and Charmaine Heath of Chandler, AZ; four grandchildren, Timothy Tanguay, Jennifer Major, Michelle Niewierski and Kristin Johnson; as well as six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Diane Taylor, in 2015, by 3 brothers, Robert, Richard and Stephen Patterson, and by a sister, Elaine Trudell.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Aug. 31st at 12 Noon in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery. A calling hour will be held directly before the service on Monday from 11:00 AM until 12 noon, in the funeral home.
