NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Helen M. (Brown) Haley, 95, of North Adams and recently Williamstown, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at North Adams Regional Hospital.

She was born in North Adams on July 26, 1931, daughter of the late George and Florence (Coons) Brown. She attended North Adams schools and was a graduate of Drury High School.

Mrs. Haley was employed by West's Variety, the former North Adams Transcript, and Crane & Company until her retirement.

Her husband, Ernest E. Haley, whom she married on September 4, 1956, died on February 15, 1984.

She leaves two daughters, Michelle Van Orman of Bennington, Vermont, and Deborah Haley and her husband, Tso Yee Fan, of Belmont, Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Haley Van Orman of Boston, Massachusetts, Olivia Fan of Woodstock, Vermont, and Spencer Fan and his wife, Tram Le, of New York City; her sister, Georgene Brown of Adams; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Pearl Little and Eleanor Cookis.

A private burial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
