Phyllis Deneault

Phyllis Elaine Deneault, 80, of 504 Summer St., formerly of Concord, Ayer, Milton and Leominster, died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Wolfeboro, N.H., on April 17, 1921, daughter of Earl and Nettie Roberts Holden, she was a 1939 graduate of Concord (N.H.) High School and attended the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. While residing in Ayer, she was employed with the family busi-ness, Ayer Motor Mart. She spent many summers working in various capacities at Birch Rock Camp, a summer camp for boys, in East Waterford, Maine, including as co-director and director. She and her husband, Harold "Mike" Deneault, were involved with Kimball Union Academy in Meridan, N.H., and Milton Academy in Milton. She was also involved with the Ayer Town Players. Besides her husband, whom she married April 17, 1944, she leaves a daughter, Ann Deneault of Lanesboro; two sons, Jason Deneault of Cambridge and Michael Deneault of Townsend; and two grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date at her home in Lanesboro to celebrate her life and spirit. If friends desire, donations may be made to Birch Rock Camp in East Waterford, Maine, in care of DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 in her memory.
