Ruth Ethel Arrighini, 80, of 144 Church St. died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center, where she was admitted March 18. Born in North Adams on Dec. 6, 1921, daughter of George and Jenny Bleau Meyette, she attended North Adams schools. She was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams from 1937 until retiring in 1983 with 46 years of service. She was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony's Church and a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club and the Sprague Retirees. Her husband, Gusti Louis Arrighini, whom she married Aug. 19, 1939, in North Adams, died June 2, 1973. She leaves a daughter, Carol Ann Cross of Adams; a sister, Irene Mele of Cheshire, with whom she resided, and two grandsons. She was predeceased by two sisters, Evelyn Milesi and Daisy Major, and two brothers who died in infancy. A Memorial Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 at the St. Anthony of Padua Church Parish Center in North Adams. Burial will be private in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. There will be no calling hours. Donations are suggested for the St. Anthony of Padua Church Building Fund through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams.
