Rebecca Williams

Rebecca Marie Williams, 24, of 2 Cherry St., died yesterday as a result of an automobile accident on Curran Highway in North Adams. Born in North Adams on March 9, 1978, daughter of John M. Williams Sr. and Spring Dean Williams of North Adams, she graduated in 1997 from Charles H. McCann Technical High School, where she took culinary arts. Miss Williams had been employed for more than two years as an inspector for Intermar Co. in North Adams. She also had been employed by area restaurants, including the Freight Yard Pub and Boston Seafood in North Adams and the Moonlight Diner in Williamstown. She was also employed by Berkshire Family and Individual Resources Inc. and Molly's Bakery in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 310 Ladies' Auxiliary, both in North Adams. Besides her parents, she leaves a brother, John M. Williams Jr. of Savoy; her paternal grandmother, Norma G. Williams of North Adams; paternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, John A. and Barbara Williams of the state of Florida; maternal grandparents, James and Inez Dean of North Adams, and her fiancé, Michael Decensi of Adams. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at funeral home will be Monday from 4 to 7. Memorial donations are suggested for BFAIR of North Adams or to the North Adams Ambulance Service through the funeral home.
