Georgette LeBeau

Georgette Olive LeBeau, 82, formerly of Longview Avenue, died Friday morning at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield. Born in Pittsfield on March 30, 1920, daughter of George A. and Mary Marcotte Donaldson, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and attended Berkshire Community College. Mrs. LeBeau was employed as an administrative assistant to the Central Berkshire Regional School District superintendent for 10 years, retiring in 1976. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and traveling. Her husband, Sterling A. LeBeau, whom she married in 1944, died in 1969. She leaves two daughters, Jacqueline A. Matthews of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Jennifer M. LeBeau of Pelham, and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, James LeBeau, who died in 1952, and a daughter, Jean Obrenski, who died in 2001. A graveside service for Mrs. LeBeau will be conducted Thursday, May 30, at 11 at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Hinsdale by the Rev. R. Joseph LeVay, pastor of St. Patrick's Church. Calling hours will be tomorrow, May 29, from 4 to 7 at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St., Dalton.
