Linn F. Wood

Linn F. Wood, 64, of Corinth, Vt., formerly of Sheffield, died Thursday at home after a long battle with cancer. Born at the Olongapo U.S. Naval Base on the Philippine Islands on Oct. 9, 1937, daughter of Gen. Donald W. Fuller and Lucy C. Fuller, she was raised in the Philippines, China, and throughout the United States due to her father's various postings with the Marine Corps. She received her bachelor of arts degree in fine arts from George Washington University in 1960. Mrs. Wood was employed as a librarian for the city of New Haven, Conn., and later sold real estate in Princeton, N.J., and Sheffield. She was active in the movement to end the Vietnam War in the 1960s and early 1970s. She was an artist and had painted in oils, acrylics, and watercolors. She had resided in Sheffield for many years and retired to Corinth nine years ago. She married Douglas K. Wood in 1959. She leaves two sons, Duncan Wood and Colm Wood; a daughter, Meghan Wood; a sister, Patricia Jacques, and two grandchildren.
