Robert J. Crine Sr., 57, of 160 Christian Hill Road died yesterday at Fairview Hospital. Born in Great Barrington on Dec. 13, 1944, son of John E. Crine Sr. and Helen M. Briggs Crine, he attended the former Searles High School. He was employed for Mead Specialty Corp. in Lee as a forklift operator for 30 years. He leaves his wife, the former Rosemary Keefner, whom he married Nov. 11, 1972, in Sheffield; two sons, Derek Crine of Great Barrington and Robert J. Crine Jr. of Ashley Falls; two daughters, Nicole Crine of Great Barrington and Deborah Steward of Lee; a stepson, Victor Torres of Pittsfield; four brothers, John E. Crine Jr. of Dover Plains, N.Y., Richard F. Crine of Sheffield, Everett A. Crine of Cazenovia, Wis., and Donald A. Crine of Great Barrington; three sisters, Alice J. Jacquins of Housatonic, and Joan M. Stupplebeen and Judith A. Moro, both of Great Barrington, and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Jean M. Pixley. Funeral and burial for Robert J. Crine Sr., who died June 4, 2002, will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Mass.
