Virginia I. Storti

Virginia I. Storti, 86, of Beachtree Commons, Silver Street, died Saturday at Fairview Hospital. Born in Great Barrington on Nov. 11, 1915, daughter of Thomas F. and Irene O'Brien Graham, she was a 1933 graduate of the former Searles High School. Primarily a homemaker, she retired from the Becton Dickenson Corp. in Canaan, Conn., in 1975. She enjoyed tending her flower beds, bird watching and preparing family gatherings. She and her husband, Leon Storti, celebrated their 66th weddding anniversary April 28. Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Gary Storti of Great Barrington, Brian Storti of San Ramon, Calif., and Thomas G. Storti of Hillsdale, N.Y.; a daughter, Karen Gauthier, formerly of Great Barrington; a sister, Kathleen Pruhenski of Great Barrington; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 13, at 11 at St. Peter's Church in Great Barrington by the Rev. William Wallis, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 12, from 4 to 7 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME. Memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia I. Storti Memorial Fund, which will be used to benefit several elder services, through the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
