Anna Ziolkowski

Anna L. Ziolkowski, 83, of 24 Danforth Ave. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Housatonic on Oct. 26, 1918, daughter of Peter and Sophie Patorak Bonczak, she went to Poland at the age of one and attended schools there. She had resided in Pittsfield for the past 55 years. During World War II, from June 1942 until December 1946, she was a prisoner in a German labor camp. Mrs. Ziolkowski was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She leaves several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held tomorrow, Thursday, June 20, at noon at Pittsfield Cemetery with the Rev. Eugene Suszek, pastor of Holy Family Church, officiating. There are no calling hours. DWYER FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in care of Dwyer Funeral Home. Those wishing to attend the graveside service may meet inside the cemetery gate on Thursday at 11:45.
