Adele R. Starsiak

Adele R. Starsiak, 82, of 15 Arnold Court died Saturday morning at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown. Born in Adams on Oct. 24, 1919, daughter of Peter and Apolonia Gawron Stec, she attended schools in Cheshire. Mrs. Starsiak was employed by GE in Pittsfield for 20 years, retiring in 1980. Before that, she worked for the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for more than 20 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and of St. Stanislaus' Church in Adams. Her husband, Chester J. Starsiak, whom she married Nov. 25, 1937, died June 8, 1994. She leaves a daughter, Jean Zabek of Adams; two sisters, Helen Kruzel and Virginia Lancia, both of Cheshire; a brother, Matthew Stec, and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, David Starsiak. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Olympia Gajda and Stacia Sikorski. The funeral will be tomorrow at 8:15 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. There will be no calling hours.
