Dorothy O'Brien

Dorothy R. "Dottie" O'Brien, 78, formerly of Stockbridge, died June 14 at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart, Fla. Born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., she moved to Stuart 21 years ago. While in Stockbridge, she was a teacher's aide at Monument Mountain Regional High School. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Jensen Beach and a longtime member of the Southern Berkshire Women's Bowling Association. Her husband, Howard O'Brien, died in 1994. She leaves a son, Hank O'Brien of Spanaway, Wash.; a daughter, Ellen Candie of Stuart; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. A memorial service was held at the Aycock Funeral Home, Jensen Beach, Fla., on June 15, 2002. She leaves four grandchildren, Jason and Josh O'Brien, Stacy Candie and Todd Premerlani, and a great-grandchild, Christopher Premerlani.
