Herbert Warren Neale, 78, of Garden City Beach, S.C., formerly of Pittsfield, died Sunday in Florence, S.C. Born in Rensselaer, N.Y., on April 30, 1924, he was the son of George and Helene Neale. He had resided in Pittsfield until retiring to South Carolina in 1968.He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Neale was a retired restaurant manager. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He leaves his wife, the former Connie Jadatz; a daughter, Linda Barnes of Norwich, Conn.; a sister, Carol Donnell of Augusta, Maine, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at GOLDFINCH FUNERAL HOME, Murrells Inlet, S.C. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Conway, S.C. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave. North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
