Linda Wheeler

Linda Christine Andersen Wheeler, 40, of 150 Old State Road, Berkshire, died Sunday at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Born in Oak Park, Ill., on Aug. 18, 1961, daughter of Doris G. Knudsen Andersen and the late Rolf W. Andersen, she was a 1979 graduate of Pittsfield High School and also graduated from Berkshire Community College and Katherine Gibbs School of Business in Providence, R.I. Mrs. Wheeler was employed at the time of her death by Filene's department store at the Berkshire Mall in the cosmetics department. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pittsfield. Besides her mother of Pittsfield, she leaves her husband, Scott M. Wheeler, whom she married Aug. 27, 1988; two daughters, Nicole Alexandra Wheeler and Anna Elizabeth Wheeler, both at home, and a brother, Kent Eric Andersen of Holland. Funeral services will be Friday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church on Fenn Street, Pittsfield, with the Rev. Robert H. Skidmore, retired United Methodist pastor, and the Rev. William R. Wilson Jr., pastor of Stamford (Vt.) Community Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. There are no calling hours at DWYER FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elizabeth Freeman Center in care of DWYER FUNERAL HOME in her memory.
