Francis M. Zinna

Francis M. "Frank" Zinna, 74, of Church Street died Tuesday at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 22, 1928, son of Angelina Margillo Zinna of Forest Hills, N.Y., and the late Francis M. Zinna Sr., he graduated from the Steuben-Muller High School in Manhattan in 1944. He had lived in Stockbridge since 1986, moving there from Massapequa, N.Y. Mr. Zinna was employed for more than 40 years as a lab technician for motion picture companies in New York City. He retired in 1987. A member of St. Joseph's Church, he enjoyed baseball, gardening and fishing. Besides his mother, he leaves his wife of 51 years, the former Geraldine Nadolski, whom he married Feb. 3 in Maspeth, N.Y.; a son, Michael Zinna of Sunrise, Fla.; a daughter, Lisa Duffee of Irvington, N.Y.; a sister, Rose Marie Callahan of Sunnyside, N.Y., and five grandchildren. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Steven F.C. McGuigan. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph's Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 11, from 4 until 7 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington. Contributions in his memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital through the Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
