Robert A. Johnson

Robert Anthony Johnson, 73, of 175 Franklin St., a former resident of Holy Family Terrace, died Sunday at North Adams Regional Hospital shortly after he was admitted. Born in Fall River on March 11, 1929, son of Richard and Rose Ouellette Johnson, he moved to North Adams at an early age and graduated from Drury High School. He was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for more than 20 years. An accomplished chef, he was employed as a chef's assistant with the former Green Mountain Race Track in Pownal, Vt., and later with the Williams Inn in Williamstown. He leaves several nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard Johnson and Raymond Alexander Johnson. A private service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the family plot in Southview Cemetery in North Adams.
