Harry J. Roddy

Harry J. Roddy, 89, of Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly of Ashley Falls, died June 14 at the Hernando/Pasco HospiceCare Center in Dade City, Fla. Born in Enosburg Falls, Vt., on Nov. 18, 1912, son of Terrance and Alice Paradee Roddy, he graduated from Enosburg Falls schools. Mr. Roddy had been a farmer and drove a truck for nearly 40 years. He lived in Ashley Falls for 38 years before retiring to Florida about 25 years ago. He moved to Zephyrhills 13 years ago from Deltona, Fla. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Zephyrhills. He leaves his wife of 68 years, the former Francis Playful, whom he married Sept. 15, 1933; two sons, Larry W. Roddy of Lady Lake, Fla., and Fenwick W. Roddy of East Canaan, Conn.; a daughter, Virginia Kilmer of Torrington, Conn.; a brother, Terrance Roddy Jr. of Enosburg Falls; a sister, Imogene Collins of Fairfax, Vt.; nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
