Anna M. Pianpiano

Anna M. Honiker Pianpiano, 82, of 329 Pittsfield Road, Devonshire Estates, died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on April 4, 1920, daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth Glennon Daly, she attended Pittsfield High School. She was most recently employed as a ward secretary in the emergency room at BMC. She retired in 1978 after 10 years of service. She first worked at the former Sheraton Hotel and later worked for Sears. Mrs. Pianpiano was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed wintering in Vero Beach, Fla., and tending to plants and flowers. Her husband, Anthony C. Pianpiano, died March 18, 1982. She leaves a son, John R. "Jack" Honiker of Pittsfield; two stepdaughters, Carol A. Massari and Joan M. Codella, both of Pittsfield; a sister, Stella R. Perrone of Pittsfield; two brothers, Lawrence Daly of St. Augustine, Fla., and Eugene "Chick" Daly of Fort Pierce, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Another son, Dennis M. Honiker, died June 4, 2000. Two other brothers, Michael Daly and James Daly, predeceased her. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the new renovations at the BMC Emergency Room in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, which is in charge of arrangements. She was known to reflect the ''spirit of the place'' when she moved to make her home at Devonshire Estates.
