Dorothy E. Dean

Dorothy E. Dean, 75, of 10 Brown St. died yesterday at Baystate Medical Center following her admission there Nov. 7. Born in Adams on Feb. 17, 1927, daughter of Sylvester and Mary Raymond Dutcher, she was a 1945 graduate of the former Adams High School. Mrs. Dean was a homemaker. She was employed by the former Brightwater Paper Co. as a plater technician in the finishing department until 1961. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Adams and the North Adams Fraternal Order of Eagles 310. She and her husband, Earl E. Dean, were married Aug. 25, 1945. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, David Allan Dean and Gary E. Dean, both of Adams; a daughter, Sharyn M. Klein of Adams, clerk of the Adams Fire District; a sister, Gerry M. Nassif of Adams; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Dorothy Dean is planned for Thursday, Nov. 21, at 1 at First Congregational Church on Park Street. The service will be offered by the Rev. Michael Mullony, pastor. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. The family suggests donations to the church through MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, which is in charge of arrangements. She leaves her daughter-in-law, Jeanne M. Dean; six grandchildren, Melanie St. Pierre; Eric, Christopher and Jonathon Dean, and Michael and Kelly Klein, and six great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Michala, Dillon and Jacklyn Dean, and Luke and Nathan St. Pierre. She was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Dutcher, and a sister, Marjorie Rumgay.
