Clifton C. "Brother" Patten

Clifton C. "Brother" Patten, 74, of 28 Spring St., died yesterday morning at Williamstown Commons. Born in Lisbon, N.H., on July 15, 1928, son of Clifton L. and Clara Austin Patten, he attended schools in Lisbon. He moved to North Adams in 1960. An Army veteran, he served during the Korean War, from March 4, 1951, until his honorable discharge March 12, 1953. He was last employed by Krutiak Lumber Co., from which he retired. in Clarksburg. Before that, he was employed at Mount Hope Farm in Williamstown. He enjoyed watching professional wrestling. He leaves his wife, the former Marion Sidney Bolduc, whom he married on Sept. 12, 1953; a daughter, Evelyn A. Williams of Tampa, Fla.; four sisters, Bertha Concannon of Hyde Park, Lillian Day of Pittsfield, Angie Morin of Cheshire and Alberta McCarthy of Williamstown, and one granddaughter. A son, Walter A. Patten, died April 11, 1984. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Clifton C. "Brother" Patten will be Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 11 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., with the Rev. Susan Stewart, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7. Donations may be made in his memory , in care of the funeral home. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn A. and Michael Williams of Tampa, Fla., and a granddaughter, Michelle Williams of Tampa, and nieces and nephews. A son, Walter A. Patten, died April 11, 1984. He was predeceased by three brothers, Andrew Patten, Harry Patten, and Clinton Patten, his twin, who died in infancy, and a sister, Roberta Patten.
