Mary L. Tucker

Mary L. Tucker, 66, a longtime resident of East Alford Road, died Monday evening at Timberlyn Heights Nursing Home in Great Barrington following a long battle with multiple sclerosis. Born Dec. 2, 1936, in Great Barrington, daughter of Henry and Marjorie Holmes Smith, she attended schools in Hillsdale, N.Y., and graduated from the former Roeliff-Jansen High School in Hillsdale. Mrs. Tucker attended West Stockbridge Congregational Church and enjoyed watching television. She married Roy Tucker on Sept. 15, 1973, in South Egremont. Besides her husband, of Great Barrington, she leaves two sons, Lance and Scott Estes, and her sister, Marjorie Wheeler of Minneapolis. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mrs. Mary L. Tucker will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 20, at 1 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington by the Rev. Beverlee Kalagher, pastor of West Stockbridge Congregational Church. Burial will be in the spring. There will be no calling hours. Mary was a loving and caring wife and enjoyed watching television. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of West Stockbridge and Richmond through the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
