Vivian Mae Senecal

Vivian Mae Senecal, 78, of 329 West Main St. died early yesterday morning at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown. Born in North Adams on April 29, 1924, daughter of Delphis J. and Margaret Grace Aubin Bergeron, she attended local schools. She retired from North Adams Regional Hospital. Previously, she worked at the former Hoosac Cotton Mills and the former Sprague Electric Co. Mrs. Senecal was a communicant of Notre Dame Church. Her husband, George Edward Senecal, whom she married May 3, 1943, died Jan. 1, 1997. She leaves two daughters, Sandra L. LaPier of North Adams, with whom she lived, and Linda M. DeBerry of North Adams; a son, Lawrence G. Senecal of North Adams; three sisters, Lucille Matranga of Jacksonville, Fla., Shirley Vandetti of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Carol Finocchiaro of Dunedin, Fla.; a brother, Richard Bergeron of the town of Florida; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Vivian Senecal will be Thursday, March 20, at 8:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, with a Funeral Mass at 9 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, State Road, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Donations are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, James and Sandra LaPier and James and Linda DeBerry; a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Gloria Senecal; six grandchildren, Darcy LaPier of Memphis, Jason LaPier of Holly Hill, Fla., Jessica Babeu of Windsor, Jennifer Free of Bennington, Vt., Angelica Senecal of Pittsfield and Tamara Senecal of Adams. A brother, Robert Bergeron, is deceased.
