Anna M. Wojtaszek

Anna M. Wojtaszek, 87, of 75 Commercial St. died yesterday afternoon at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield. Born in Adams on May 11, 1915, daughter of Stephen and Maria Nowak Trzpis, she attended local schools. She was employed as a clinical assistant at North Adams Regional Hospital for more than 20 years, retiring in 1980. Mrs. Wojtaszek was a communicant of St. Stanislaus’ Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality. In her younger years, she was a member of its St. Cecelia’s choir for 10 years. She was also a member of St. Michael’s Society. She enjoyed symphony music and reading. Her husband, Ignatius J. Wojtaszek, whom she married Oct. 15, 1935, died Nov. 21, 1980. She leaves a son, Ignatius J. Wojtaszek of Cheshire; a brother, John Trzpis of Cheshire; a grandson, and a great-granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Anna Wojtaszek will be Wednesday, March 19, at 9:15 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church celebrated by the Rev. David Raymond, pastor of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours are today, Tuesday, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Members of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality will meet today at 3:45 at the funeral home to recite the rosary. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church or to the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home. She leaves a daughter-in-law, Diane Wojtaszek, a grandson, John J. Wojtaszek and his wife, Deanna, of Cheshire; a great-granddaughter, Breanna Marie Wojtaszek of Cheshire; a sister-in-law, Roma Trzpis of Dalton, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Stanley and Joseph Trzpis.
