Josephine M. Voight

Josephine M. Voight, 68, of 107 North Summer St. died yesterday morning at home after a lengthy battle with emphysema. Born in Adams on May 16, 1934, daughter of Joseph A. and Frances Twardowski Kut, she attended St. Stanislaus’ School and was a 1952 graduate of the former Adams High School, where she was a cheerleader. Mrs. Voight was employed by the former Waverly Fabrics plant as a seamstress in the drapery department, retiring in 1982. Previously, she had worked for the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams and for several restaurants. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus’ Church and a member of the Polish Roman Catholics Union and the More the Merrier Club. She leaves her husband, George G. Voight, to whom she was married May 30, 1956, in St. Stanislaus’ by the Rev. E.M. Kempinski. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Bruce A. Voight of Windsor and George G. Voight Jr. of Malden; two brothers, Francis Kut and John Kut, both of Adams; a sister, Joan Coviello of , and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A reading in the Roman Catholic tradition will be offered Saturday, March 28, at 11 at MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
