Orrin J. Noon Sr

Orrin J. Noon Sr., 90, of Harwich died Sunday at home following a brief illness. He was a former resident of Stockbridge. Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 3, 1912, son of James E. and Delia Stetson Noon, he was educated in local schools. He also attended St. Michael’s College and Seton Hall University. He was the proprietor of Stockbridge Imports, a retail gift business. He retired to Cape Cod in 1976. Before going into business, he worked for GE. His wife, the former Margaret McCauley, died in 1974. He leaves a son, O. James Noon Jr. of Harwich Port; a daughter, Margaret Hemphill of Kent, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Another son, David M. Noon, died in 1973. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Orrin J. Noon Sr. will be celebrated Saturday, March 29, at 10 at St. Joseph’s Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Steven McGuigan. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Stockbridge. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod.
