Pamela Joan Jacques

Pamela Joan Jacques, 55, of 59 Notch Road died yesterday morning at home, following a six-month-long illness. Born in Pittsfield on March 3, 1948, daughter of Freda Hassell Poplar of Adams and the late William Poplar, she attended Dalton schools and was a 1965 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School. She moved to Adams in 1976. Mrs. Jacques was employed by GE in Pittsfield as a clerk for 35 years. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas’, where she served as eucharistic minister for many years. Besides her mother, she leaves her husband, Leroy F. Jacques Jr., whom she married Sept. 6, 1986; two stepsons, Leroy F. Jacques III of Great Barrington and Thomas Jacques of Bellingham; three stepdaughters, Darlene Vanier of Spring, Texas, Melanie Heyland of North Adams and Dana Zagata of Adams; a sister, Patricia Hipenbecker of Clifton, N.Y., and three stepgrandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Pamela Joan Jacques will be Tuesday, April 15, at 9 from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 in Notre Dame Church in Adams celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northern Berkshire or the Adams Ambulance Fund through the funeral home. She also leaves a niece and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
