Patricia A. Soules, 69, of 366 Park St., Housatonic, died yesterday at home. Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 18, 1934, daughter of John and Davena Stanton Curtin, she attended Tyringham Grammar School and Lee High School. Mrs. Soules had worked at Brooks Drug and as a housekeeper for Drs. Blain and White of Stockbridge. She was employed as a mail clerk for the Marian Fathers in Stockbridge from 1985 to 1988, when she retired. She was a member of Housatonic Congregational Church and a former member of Tyringham Congregational Church. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and camping, especially at Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and was a Red Sox fan. She and her husband, Norman N. Soules Sr., were married Oct. 6, 1951, in Tyringham. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Norman N. Soules Jr. of Great Barrington and Thomas M. Soules of Otis; six daughters, Wendy Love of Sheffield, Kathy Sharp of San Marcos, Calif., Terry Bliss of Breingsville, Pa., Cindy McCormick of Lee, Shelley Winters of Housatonic and Patty Gubelman of Pittsfield; six brothers, J. Neil Curtin, Peter Curtin, Terrance Curtin, James Curtin and Thomas Curtin, all of Tyringham, and Dennis Curtin of Otis; one sister, Dierdre Loring of Otis,19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for Patricia A. Soules, who died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, surrounded by her family, will be held Thursday, April 17, at 11 in Elmwood Cemetery, Great Barrington, with the Rev. Art Kaufman officiating. There will be no calling hours.
