Herbert W. Warner Jr., 53, of Davis Street died Sunday at home. Born in Great Barrington on July 30, 1949, son of Herbert W. Warner Sr. and Ella Rasmussen Warner, he was a graduate of the former Searles High School and earned a business degree from Bryant College. He resided in Victor, N.Y., until moving to Lee several years ago. Mr. Warner taught business administration in the Victor school system until retiring in 1996. He enjoyed traveling and spending time in the sun, and e-mailing family and friends. He leaves a daughter, Lisa Cree of Washington, D.C.; four brothers, John Warner of Lee, and Michael Warner, William Warner and Thomas Warner, all of Great Barrington; a sister, Judy Kinna of Great Barrington, and two granddaughters. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Herbert W. Warner Jr. will be celebrated Thursday, May 8, at 11 at St. Peterâ€™s Church in Great Barrington by the Rev. Dan Papineau, MIC. Burial will follow in the family lot in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 7 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington. He also leaves his son-in-law, James Cree, and granddaughters Allison and Megan. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph.
