Evelyn Dolores Trueheart, 87, of 187 Liberty St. died yesterday at North Adams Commons. Born in North Adams on Dec. 8, 1915, daughter of Chester and Georgiana Frisby Williams, she was educated in local schools, including Drury High School. Mrs. Trueheart was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co., retiring in 1978 after 28 years of service. Previously, she had been employed by the federal Works Project Administration, the former Gale Shoe Co. and GE in Pittsfield. She was a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club and the Sprague Retirees. Her husband, Henry Trueheart, whom she married March 30, 1933, died June 29, 1983. She leaves five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. A son, Norman H. Trueheart, died April 28, 1996, and a daughter, Patricia E. DeWitt, died Nov. 30, 2001. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Evelyn Trueheart will take place Friday, May 9, at 11 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., with the Rev. Phil Thurmond, pastor of Reigning Love Church of Pittsfield, officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 10 until the time of the funeral. She leaves her grandchildren, Kevin DeWitt Sr. and Shawn DeWitt, both of Pittsfield, Kendra DeWitt of Marietta, Ga., Holly DeWitt of Marblehead and Wendi Gore of New Haven, Conn.
