Anna Dubis

Anna Dubis, 94, of 36 Mill St. died early yesterday morning at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown. Born in Adams on June 9, 1908, daughter of John and Mary Mularz Wol, she attended local schools. Mrs. Dubis was employed by the former Pownal (Vt.) Tanning Co., retiring in 1973. She had also worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates for many years, until the mill ceased operations in 1957. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus’ Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality and St. Michael’s Society. She also was a member of the Adams Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and gardening. Her husband, Joseph Dubis, whom she married Sept. 14, 1931, died June 6, 1974. She leaves two sons, Leonard J. Dubis and Daniel J. Dubis, both of Adams; a sister, Gladys Czubryt of Adams; and two grandsons. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Anna Dubis will be Thursday, May 15, at 9:15 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church by her cousin, Msgr. Edward Hajduk, pastor of St. Henry’s Church, Bayonne, N.J. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus’ Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Members of the St. Stanislaus’ Rosary Sodality will meet at the funeral home Wednesday at 3:45 to pay their respects and recite the rosary. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus’ Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice through the funeral home. She leaves two grandsons, Kevin Dubis of Savoy and Jeffrey Dubis of Fort Kent, Maine; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Stanley, Peter, Frank and Walter Wol, and a sister, Helen Garvin.
