Bernadette V. Robare

Bernadette V. Robare, 100, of 240 Cross Road died Wednesday at the Williamstown Commons Rehabilitation Center. Born in North Adams on April 24, 1903, daughter of George and Anne Sheridan LaBombard, she attended local schools. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Robare was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, where she was a member of its Holy Rosary Society. Her husband, Edward A. Robare, whom she married April 1, 1923, died Aug. 10, 1989. She leaves a son, Carl Robare of Stamford, Vt.; a sister, Nesta Hamelin of Clarksburg; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Bernadette V. LaBombard Robare will take place Saturday at 11:15 at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in Clarksburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, Friday, from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the American Heart Association through the funeral home. Survivors include: a daughter-in-law, Jane Robare; two grandchildren, Bruce Robare and his wife, Christine, and Judith Manchester and her husband, Douglas; six great-grandchildren, Christian, Hillary and Morgan Manchester and Jessica, Stephany and Allison Holmes; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters: Francis LaBombard, Eldridge LaBombard, George LaBombard, Mary Leslie, Augustine Robare, Irene Ross and Jean Griswold.
