Galen J. Bolte

Galen J. Bolte, 50, of 21 Tilton Road died Monday afternoon at home. Born in Butler, Pa., on Oct. 17, 1952, son of Joseph W. Bolte of Savoy and the late Margaret M. Erb Bolte, he attended schools in Butler until moving with his family to North Adams in 1968. He graduated from Drury High School in 1970. Mr. Bolte had resided in Triangle, Va., for 14 years and had been employed as a sales associate at Pep Boys in Woodbridge, Va. He enjoyed working on antique cars. Besides his father, with whom he resided, he leaves a son, Christopher L. Bolte of Virginia; a daughter, Nicole L. Bolte of Virginia; his paternal grandmother, Stella M. Bolte of Butler; two brothers, Joseph Gary Bolte of Douglas and Kenneth E. Bolte of North Adams, and a sister, Barbara LaBonte of Savoy. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Galen J. Bolte will be celebrated Friday, June 20, at 10:30 at the St. Anthony of Padua Church Parish Center in North Adams by the Rev. Daniel J. O’Hear, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire or to a charity of the donor’s choice in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
