Ronald Tovani Sr

Ronald Tovani Sr., 72, of 23 Blackstone Road died yesterday at 73 North Main St., Webster, the home of his son, Ronald Tovani Jr. Born in North Adams on Aug. 12, 1930, son of Arthur L. and Eva Platt Tovani, he attended local schools. He was employed as a kiln operator at the former Sprague Electric Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1992. His wife, the former Mary Jane Norman, died in 1994. Besides his son, he leaves a daughter, Gloria Hahn of Adams; a brother, Harry Tovani of Bushkill, Pa.; a sister, Mildred Baker of Schenectady, N.Y.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ronald Tovani Sr. will be Friday, June 27, at 10 at AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, North Adams. The Rev. Irving Mullette, rector of Florida Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Florida Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to either VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire or to VNA of Central Massachusetts Inc. through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247. Two brothers, Arthur Tovani and Walter Tovani, and two sisters, Mary Jane Tovani and Ruby Pedercini, are deceased.
